OSGUG launched an appeal in September 2010 to raise £10,000 for the benefit of the Chancellor’s Fund. By the end of August 2011 the target figure has been achieved thanks to the generosity of our members. The Trustees of the Chancellor's Fund, founded by our Patron, Sir William Kerr Fraser, will determine to which project they will allocate the funds raised when they meet in November 2011.

In a separate development the University Development Office have confirmed that aggregate donations from OSGUG and its members now exceed £90,000, a truly remarkable sum.
