Joan Cleave was born in London during the First World War.  She died in 2001 knowing little about her mother and almost nothing about her father, not even his name.  Come along to hear the incredible story we have uncovered spanning the oceans, two World Wars and over 300 years of Canadian history.  Photographs show that Joan was the image of the four French Canadian sisters she had never known.  Our research has been doubly significant as Pam has come to learn about her own personal heritage and also Who Her Mother Really Was.

Following the meeting we hope you will join us for a Presidential Garden Party, next door to the village hall, for afternoon tea with sandwiches and home baking.  If the weather is unkind we can remain in the Village Hall safe from the elements!

I will be joined on the platform by Tony Simpson, a member of the Society of Genealogists and he will be happy to discuss informally with members any particular questions you would like to ask. I do hope many of you will be able to attend and I look forward to meeting up with you again.
